The LSD unit prevents the lightly loaded front wheel from spinning, typically when exiting a junction.Power is distributed to both front wheels allowing more balanced delivery. This has a major secondary benefit at higher road speeds, making the car more stable during cornering. Full power can be maintained on tighter cornering lines, improving driving pleasure.Unlike pure-racing LSD's, the Abbott Racing LSD is designed for road and mild track use and does not produce any unpleasant handling characteristics.

 

The LSD is a time consuming and complex item to fit, we recommend fitting either by us, or by a competent SAAB workshop.
